Well, Ossie81, I used to think the same way as you, and that I would not want to be in an open relationship. However, 3 years ago I met a guy that was 16 years older than me(former Hippie) and still has many of the 60’s/70’s views about sex and relationships. The sex is amazing, but I10d to go for the more intense fetishes and even though he shares some of those interests, we are just at different experience levels and need for that type of play. We both have a great deal of respect for each other. He told me that he feels we shouldn’t be EVERYTHING to each other, and there’s just no way that satisfy all of the others needs/desires. There have been a few issues, mostly mine, but I just like to know where I/we stand. I feel as long as you and partner have discussed the ground rules are, open relatioinships can work. But not when1 or both aren’t being honest...or not communicating with their partner, and just having sex because they are bored or no longer enjoy sex in relationship...then’s there’s a problem.
